When the Allies called for Sammie's soldiers
To com across and help their cause advance.
Then the fairest of Columbia's bravest daughters
Volunteer'd to nurse them o're in France
For her country's Liberty
Our soldier boys across the sea.

Some where in France tonight she's nursing.

Whose life has been woulded while fighting
