There's an Angel Missing from Heaven
She'll be found Somewhere Over there

Picture a beautiful country, Picture a fam'ly at pray'r.
Picture a crimson sun sinking low, Contentment and peace ev'rewhere.
Then picture grim war's devastation. The cry of a child on the air;
No sister, no brother, no father, no mother,
Desolation and grief ev'rewhere.

There's a Cross, and it stands for Atonement,
Bringing Hope to both you and to me;
There's a Cross at the end of a string of pearls--
"My Rosary, My Rosary."
There's a Cross, a Red Cross that means Mercy,
Devotion and tenderest care;
There's an Angel who's missing from Heaven.
She'll be found somewhere over there.

Picture the maimed and the dying, Picture the crushing of youth;
Picture the blackness of fear, the doubt of virtue and right and of truth;
Then picture this angel of mercy, Like Bethlehem's Star in the night;
She brings us the message that God is still living,
And that Might will be conquered by Right.

There's a Cross, and it stands for Atonement,
Bringing Hope to both you and to me;
There's a Cross at the end of a string of pearls--
"My Rosary, My Rosary."
There's a Cross, a Red Cross that means Mercy,
Devotion and tenderest care;
There's an Angel who's missing from Heaven.
She'll be found somewhere over there.
