Here's to the A O A

From far across our nation fair they came in time of stress
To help besieged creation there when under great duress
From schools and shops, from leisure too,
they came in thousands strong
To stand for right with all their might
To help correct a wrong.
The men and girls who do and dare
All of the A O A were there.

So Here's To The A O A
and to her members true,
Who stood beside the fighting men
in olive drab and blue
To those who died and those who live
we'll raise a glass in air
To the men and girls of A O A
for all of them were there.

They landed in the M T O, the E T O and such
The Pacific and the C B I All needed them as much
In hospitals of ev're kind, in fron lines deep in damp,
In clubs, in huts, O'er hill and dale
In heat, cold, town and camp.
The men and girls who do and dare
All of the A O A were there.

So Here's To The A O A
and to her members true,
Who stood beside the fighting men
in olive drab and blue
To those who died and those who live
we'll raise a glass in air
To the men and girls of A O A
for all of them were there.
